Home depot quincy closing10/7/2023 “Really? My god,” Lee said when he heard about the stabbing. Greg Lee of North Quincy needed some tools to clear leaves from his yard. This came as a surprise to the steady stream of people who drove to the West Quincy store to pick up supplies. Thursday as police investigated the stabbing. The Home Depot at 177 Willard St., located near East Milton Square and the Southeast Expressway, was closed from about 8 a.m. “We do have quite a bit of evidence,” Keenan said. Police said they recovered the knife used in the stabbing, and they have talked to several store employees who said they witnessed the altercation. John Dougan, Boyd told Tobin: “I’m lost in the woods and I’m coming back.”īoyd was held without bail overnight at Quincy’s police station, Dougan said. Tobin got Boyd’s phone number from another Home Depot employee.Īccording to Police Capt. Police said Boyd fled the store and went into nearby woods, but he returned within a half-hour and turned himself in after Quincy Police Lt. “We know there was some bad blood prior,” Quincy Police Chief Paul Keenan said. Police said the two men got into an altercation before the stabbing. The alleged assault occurred shortly before 8 a.m. The victim, Corey Frederick, 37, of Cambridge, was in critical condition as of Thursday night, hours after receiving emergency surgery at Boston Medical Center. He faces charges of assault by means of a dangerous weapon and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon. The suspect in the stabbing, Jamal Boyd of Mattapan, was scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Quincy District Court. The knife pierced the victim’s thigh, cutting a femoral artery and spilling blood onto the floor with customers in the store. But when it comes to heading to this particular store, we wouldn’t chance it unless you’ve actually gotten confirmation from a manager that your fuzzy friend is allowed. The Home Depot on Willard Street was barely open two hours Thursday when one of the store’s workers phoned 911. In the past, I have seen any number of dogs in different Home Depots (and in different states), and not all of them were service dogs. However, if you really want to bring the pup to Home Depot with you, then we recommend calling and speaking to a manager, as some stores are much more lax about the dog policy than others. Really, if the policy is this straightforward then we should not be bringing our dogs to the store. What does this policy mean for our dogs joining us at Home Depot? However, some stores don’t enforce this policy and all dogs have been allowed to shop with their owners. This all means that technically only service dogs are allowed, not even emotional support dogs. A service dog is a dog that is specifically trained to assist people, usually those with some sort of disability.” So which dogs are officially allowed inside of the store? They explain that, “the official policy for Home Depot is that only service dogs are allowed in their stores. Can you bring dogs in Home Depot?Īccording to the National Canine Research Association of America, “Yes, most Home Depot locations allow dogs inside, even though that’s not the official corporate policy.” We dug deep for this one.Īnd I have to say that the answer is a lot like the answer we found for whether or not dogs can join us at Lowe’s. They don’t post all of their store policies in plain sight for all to see. Here’s the thing, we all know that sometimes the rules aren’t easy to find. And we need to know if Home Depot lets us bring our dogs with us. Or at least, heading to the store with your dog in tow is.
